SWB Turbines recently developed the "Ultimate Air Trap" (U.A.T.) which is exclusively sold by Bob Violett Models (BVM).  The U.A.T. is the result of proprietary technology which has been in use by SWB for years in the military sector.  After seeing so many model jets flame-out and crash at jet-flys, SWB decided to release this product to the modeling community in order to make the sport safer and more enjoyable.

The U.A.T.  has been rigorously tested by SWB Turbines in our test cell with all of our turbojets.  This device has also been tested by Bob Violett himself and he has had resounding success. Bob Violett has been quoted as saying, "This is one of those very significant developments that come along only occasionally in model airplane technology."

The mystery material, a duck bill shaped sack inside the bottle will deliver a solid stream of fuel (no bubbles) to the fuel pump even if the 4 oz bottle should get 3/4th's full of air, which is highly unlikely.

This is a high quality product for those turbine pilots who want to eliminate the possibility of an air bubble causing a flame out.  The U.A.T. is placed in a series between the last fuel tank and the pump.  The system is filled through the third line in the U.A.T.

The rectangular shaped bottle (or tank) has the ability to be mounted vertically or horizontally and produce the same results, making it convenient to fit into just about any model and will work with any model size turbine engine.

News Update About The U.A.T.

The U.A.T. is also a great filter eliminating the need for another filter and its two connections in the fuel system.  The fuel "in" nipples are custom CNC machined in-house at SWB Turbines from brass for a very snug fit to the 6mm urethane fuel line.  The fuel "out" connection is a Festo compression fitting.

Another great advantage of adding a U.A.T. to your fuel system is that all of the fuel in your other tanks is now completely usable, (assuming the clunks can reach it).

Formerly, if you had a 16 oz. header tank installed, you couldn't count on using the last 8 oz - now you can.  Don't plan on it, but 3 oz. of the 4 oz. in the U.A.T. is also usable.
